Outpatient Services - Pioneer Medical Center

Outpatient Services

Lab photo 1

Outpatient services, defined as medical procedures that do not require an overnight stay at the hospital, are leading to better quality patient care and lower costs. At Pioneer Medical Center, we perform a myriad of outpatient procedures that will enable you to get the care you need, either one-time or ongoing, close to home.

  • Our laboratory performs a majority of lab tests necessary for basic health screenings. In some cases, we send complex or specialized testing to our affiliate reference laboratory.
  • Our radiology department performs CT scans, X-rays, MRIs (2-3 x per month), Ultrasounds, Holter monitoring (24 and 48 hours), Cardiac Event monitoring, Electrocardiograms, and Mobile telemetry monitoring.
  • Our outpatient services department performs infusions, and many other procedures.

We take the time to answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and offer a high level of clinical service. When your provider recommends an outpatient procedure, we invite you to come to Pioneer Medical Center and discover that sustainable excellence in patient care is not just a motto, but a way of caring.

Monida Shared Imaging provides the MRI Technologist and equipment, and we send the images to Billings Clinic Radiologists for review.

The following studies cannot be performed in the mobile unit:

  • Breast MRI
  • Cardiac MRI
  • Joint Injections
  • Stents less than 6 weeks old
  • Patients with a Pacemaker
