Pioneer Medical Center Rehab Receives AED Funding

Big Timber, MT, October 2, 2017:

Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Opportunity Bank and Walmart donated a total of $2,000.00 to Pioneer Medical Center to provide an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the PMC Rehab facility.

The new equipment has been installed at the PMC Rehab facility located on McLeod Street in Big Timber.   Over a year ago Pioneer Medical Center started serving rehab patients at our downtown facility. During this time, the department identified a need for an AED.
An AED can provide life-saving treatment to a person experiencing a cardiac arrest.  In the case of a cardiac arrest, seconds can mean the difference between life and death.  The American Heart Association explains that a victim’s chance of surviving drops by seven  to ten percent for every minute a normal heartbeat isn’t restored and an AED makes it possible for more people to respond to an emergency where defibrillation is needed.

Rehabilitation manager, Kelsi Wilson says “Having an AED onsite is important because…
Pioneer Medical Center deeply appreciates the donations from Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Opportunity Bank and Walmart.  The community is a safer place because of these charitable organizations
