Pioneer Medical Center’s Radiology Department offers advanced diagnostic imaging services to help providers accurately diagnose and monitor a wide range of medical conditions. Our experienced imaging team is dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services in a comfortable, patient-centered environment.
Radiology services include:

- MRI Services
- Ultrasound
- Holter Monitoring (24- and 48-hour)
- Cardiac Event Monitoring
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Mobile Telemetry Monitoring
Mobile MRI Services
Pioneer Medical Center is proud to partner with Monida Shared Imaging to bring MRI services directly to the Big Timber community. Our mobile MRI unit provides patients with convenient access to advanced imaging close to home, helping reduce the need for travel while ensuring timely care.
The MRI unit visits Pioneer Medical Center regularly, and all images are reviewed by radiologists at Billings Clinic. Monida Shared Imaging provides both the MRI equipment and certified MRI technologist.
Please note that the following studies cannot be performed in the mobile MRI unit:
- Breast MRI
- Cardiac MRI
- Joint Injections
- Patients with stents less than six weeks old
- Patients with pacemakers
- Procedures requiring anesthesia
