Start a Healthcare Career with Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber, Montana!
Get pay and benefits to do both the hands-on patient care & on-line training in our 2–4-month program, preparing you to test for the Montana Certified Nurse Aide (“CNA”) license. For many, being a CNA is a career position, for others it’s a first step in an LPN or RN nursing education. Many of the people you meet in hospital administrative roles started as CNA’s. CNAs are part of the Nursing team. Nursing requires people who are caring and patient, physically fit (requires dependable attendance, lots of walking, lifting, pushing & pulling), and have an excellent teamwork attitude. Good communication skills, in speaking, reading, writing, and entering information. Excellent computer skills are a must! The training program includes instruction on recording information in patients’ computerized medical records.
At Pioneer the nursing team works 3 or 4, twelve-hour shifts each week. All team members work their share of weekends and holidays.
Montana does not require a high school diploma or GED to license as a CNA. This program is great for all ages and flexible enough to work around school sports schedules!
